Vintage Sterling Silver Green Turquoise Southwest Ring Size 6 Nevada Mine For Sale
Southwestern Green Turquoise Ring
Beautiful oval, mint/lighter
pale green Turquoise saddle ring
with a hallmark of "Q.T." and stamped
".925". This ring is really artsy,
yet simplistic and focuses on a light
mint green & rust brown veins in the
natural Turquoise oval cabochon. The
cabochon is surrounded by a rope
pattern or cable design. This is followed down
each side of the ring band
(shank) by the rope pattern. This ring is created as
a saddle ring.
The ring is called a saddle ring because the inside of the shank
is perfectly round, is one solid piece and fits your finger like a broken in
saddle fits a horses back. This will be one of the most comfortable rings you
will ever own.
The green turquoise stone is formed in areas with a higher
concentration of iron. The turquoise will often highlight a matrix, or veining.
This happens when the turquoise forms within a parent stone and the two become
inseparable. This stone is one that was mined at Carico Lake, NV. The stone takes on a glassy
lake appearance with the small nodules or turquoise intertwined with the host
rock provide dimension and character; the stone sits in its bezel setting very solidly.
(Stone in setting measures 5/8"
in Height by 7/16" Across) Weight of Ring is approx. 8 grams. This ring is Stamped on the back with initials "Q.T." and ".925" which is the hallmark for sterling silver. (Please view photos above of ring in sale) Nice stone, nice setting and its size is 6. Comes in a little old red gift box for its protection.
A very classic southwestern turquoise look to add to your Turquoise Jewelry Collection.
