General Information about purchasing a Bracelet
Cuff Bracelet or \"C\" Style Cuff Bracelet both are the same. There are three critical dimensions to be considered when choosing a cuff.
The first is the diameter, or how wide the inside of the bracelet is.
The second is the depth, from the top of your wrist straight through your arm to the palm side of your wrist.
The third is the gape of the opening, or throat. Generally speaking, the throat should be just smaller than the thickness of the wrist as viewed from the side, not from the top.
Bangle Bracelet or \"O\" Style Bracelet both are the same. The bangle bracelet is sized for the hand even though it is ultimately worn on the wrist. As it needs to get over the hand to get to the wrist, it has to be bigger than both the hand and the wrist.
Flat Bracelet: Ideally, a bracelet should be at least 1/2\" longer than the measurement of your wrist (so it doesn\'t fit too snugly) but no more than 1\" to 1-1/2\" longer (so it doesn\'t hang too low, slip off). Bracelet length is measured based on the closed dimensions, not including any additional open/extended clasp length.
If you have an existing bracelet that fits comfortably, lay it out flat, measure the full length with the clasp closed or folded over. Use a soft measuring tape to measure the diameter of your wrist, add about 1\" or 1-1/2\" depending on how loose you like to ware it.
If a bracelet is chunky it would be tighter on your wrist and need to be a little larger size then your use to getting so you need to allow for the style of the bracelet also when your finding your comfortable size.
