Very Cool Old Race Car. Similar to Formula Vee in that it has a Volkswagen Transmission, but with a Chevrolet Corvair Engine. So it has twice the Horsepower as a Formula Vee. Should Run more like a Formula Ford Racecar. I bought it from a gentleman here in PA, that got if from a guy in Central PA that had it for around 25 years. I spent a fair amount of money on the car. New Chevy 5 lug wheels, 2 new Nitto Drag Radial tires and 2 good used tires up front. All new Brakes, shoes, springs, and NAPA premium wheel cylinders. Rebuilt All three Hurst Airheart Master Cylinders. Had to get a new Clutch Slave cylinder because I could not find a kit. New Clutch (180 mm VW). Parts are very easy to find as it is all VW or Chevy. Cleaned the points and the car fired right up. New Valve cover gaskets, New Throw-out bearing. I also sourced a good 200 mm clutch and pressure plate. New Axle Boots. New electric fuel pump. New ignition (key was lost). Lots of time spent, but could probably use a little more tinkering around. Put a little gas in the carb, and it fires right up. Sounds nice and healthy. No noises, or knocks. Tranny seems to work fine. I Never really drove it, other than up and down driveway, but forward gears and reverse all seem fine. No tranny noise. Fresh Gear oil. I also have a new conversion flywheel for putting a corvair behind a VW that I am willing to add cheap, or I can sell separate if the buyer isn\'t interested. Best to see it in person, but I would be willing to help with shipping. I could keep the car in the garage here for a bit after payment is received. Deposit due in 24 hours, Full payment in 3 days. No joy rides without cash in hand. Its just really cool looking vintage car. Probably late 60s. Engine is from 64. There are registered car stickers from 1974 to the 80s. Paint is really nice. Does show its age, but cleans up well. Tach, Oil pressure, Amp meter are all working. Only selling to fund a house project. My loss.

Coil-Over shocks on all 4 corners, and independent suspension on all 4 with the VW swing axle in rear like a Formula V. Gas tank is cleaned and flushed. it is Aluminum. New fuel lines and filter. I have pictures of the rebuilt brakes, and most of the parts going on. Also, lots of chrome in the front, brake backing plates, axle tubes....etc. This was a nice build back then. Also have the \"interior\" which is mostly black padded leather for your back and head that snaps into place. Vintage metal flake race helmet too.
