Vintage Survivor 1951 Wurlitzer 1400 Jukebox Juke Box Coin Op 45 Record For Sale
you been looking for that survivor quality 1951 Wurlitzer 1400 Jukebox? This
is a nice original survivor that is from an Elm Grove family who is relocating. This machine plays 48 45 RPM selections and holds 24 records. It is considered one of the more collectible early 50s jukeboxes produced. Please scroll down and enjoy the 70+ photos. If you cannot view all the photos, please click here.
We are excited to have a number of rare soda, jukebox, pinball and mechanical arcade machines and rare signs at sale, just in time for the Chicagoland Antique Advertising, Slot-Machine & Jukebox Show where delivery is machine is a beautiful survivor. When we look at this machine, it looks like it came from a time capsule. The cabinet, plating, mural, front door, and plastics are outstanding. Aside from a few small marks here and there, it is one of the nicest originals we have seen. The lower right plastic has a hairline crack as shown in the photos. The grill is also one of the nicest we have seen. We did not attempt to clean it. Imagine what this machine will look like cleaned and detailed. Note that no keys are included.
Mechanically, it does not play but seems very close to doing so. We did get it to select and cycle, but the amp needs to be rebuilt and the contacts need to be cleaned. It is on 45 RPM, no records
The patina is superb! The photos do a great job documenting the condition. We could not find any reproduction parts on this box. Note the phenomenal shape of the original nickel, trim and plastics.
This example would make a great addition to
anyone’s rec room, bar room, collection, media room, or arcade. Best of all, there is . We will let the market determine the value on this RARE piece. Best of luck in the sale.
Additional sale Details
Because of it’s age and the above, it is sold
strictly as-is-as shown. That being said, please see my response and offer
with confidence. If you have not owned a jukebox before, these are not
CD players, and being 50 years old can be temperamental and are not
meant for continuous use all day long. These are meant for occasional
use and not for continuous or bar usage.
In addition, there are scrapes
and scuffs on the box as you can see in the photos. The good news is
that they reproduce most of the jukebox in the event of a problem, and
there are many people that repair them. The most likely time of trouble
is when they are moved.
