Vintage Survivor 1956 Wurlitzer 1900 Jukebox Juke Box Coin Op Record Machine For Sale
you been looking for that near mint survivor quality 1956 Wurlitzer 1900 Centennial jukebox? This
is a nice original survivor that is from a Midwest family. This machine was in their house for years where we picked it up from. These machines are scarce, especially in this shape. Please scroll down and enjoy the 70+ photos. If you cannot view all the photos, please click here.
We are excited to have a number of rare soda, jukebox, pinball and mechanical arcade machines and rare signs at sale this and next week, just in time for the Chicagoland Antique Advertising, Slot-Machine & Jukebox Show where delivery is available. Below is a video of the machine in action:
Wurlitzer came out with this machine in 1956 to mark their centennial anniversary (1856-1956) and is considered one of the most collectible machines they produced. it selects, cycles and plays a song. We have not tested
this machine beyond playing a several records. The amp sounds fairly
good but probably will need a rebuild from age. Note the coin slug rejector is missing but the coin mech is complete aside from the slug rejector which is common. Also note the glass pilasters were lost during a move but they are available from Victory Glass, and the important retainers and pilaster trim strips are there. The inserts appear to be original and light up the correct color, unlike the reproductions. The coin door also appears to be original and has the correct WCX lock and key. The cabinet keys are also there along with the volume key.
Cosmetically, it is a phenomenal survivor. The sides appear to be original although there is some slight discoloring as you can see. The patina is superb! The photos do a great job documenting the condition. We could not find any reproduction parts on this box. Note the phenomenal shape of the original chrome, trim, paint and glass.
This example would make a great addition to
anyone’s rec room, bar room, collection, media room, or arcade. It may be one of the cleanest Wurlitzer 1900 jukeboxes on the planet! Best of all, there is . We will let the market determine the value on this RARE piece. Best of luck in the sale.
Additional sale Details
Because of it’s age and the above, it is sold
strictly as-is-as shown. That being said, please see my response and offer
with confidence. If you have not owned a jukebox before, these are not
CD players, and being 50 years old can be temperamental and are not
meant for continuous use all day long. These are meant for occasional
use and not for continuous or bar usage.
In addition, there are scrapes
and scuffs on the box as you can see in the photos. The good news is
that they reproduce most of the jukebox in the event of a problem, and
there are many people that repair them. The most likely time of trouble
is when they are moved.
