Vintage Swiss Reuge Music Box Cigarette/lipstick Carousel Musical Automaton For Sale
A great, decorative music box that has been in my family for the past 20 years.Stands about13 1/4 tall. The casing is hand-painted all over, accented with gilded metalwork framing.When the button is pushed, the music box begins to play ("Laras Theme" from Dr. Zhivago) and the doors swing open, revealing small gilded compartments for storage of cigarettes, or perhaps lipsticks. As the music finishes the doors close again.The music box is from Reuge, made in St. Croix, Switzerland. It is wound from the bottom.Every aspect of this speaks of high quality and the condition is perfect.
