Up for sale is a really nice vintage 1970s Treasure Craft Brown Barrel Cookie Jar that is in GREAT condition. This ceramic cookie jar resembles an old brown wooden barrel complete with copper banding accents. The top also looks like the actual wooden slat top of a barreland it has rimmed edges on the underneath tokeep it on the barrel.
The copper bands just have a little scuffing and tarnish but in my opinion this gives the cookie jar an overall great patina.There are a few light wear scuffs on the bottom and a few pinhole type markson theoutside but itlooks great and adds to the rusticeffect of the barrel. The inside is glazedin a glossy cream color. The \"COOKIES\" lettering looks great.Please see my photos and judge the condition for yourself.This wonderful old cookie jar would be a great addition to any cookie jar collection or just for everyday use.

Mfgr: Treasure Craft, made in the USA
Age: From what I was able to find it looks like this started production in the early 1970s. There are several variations to the lid but I am told that this is style is one of the older ones.
Size: A little over 9\" with the lid, and approximately 7\" wide at the center.
