Col Day Sale~native Am. Inlaid Turquois & .925 Sterling Silver Pendent ~ Vintage For Sale
Unique Vintage turquoise and sterling silver pendent collected in the 80s in Santa Fe. The inlaid turquoise pieces create a shell like form bending back in a slight curve (about 1/2" deep). The pendent is 1/2" wide at its widest and 3/4" high. Photos show a panel which is slightly darker but this is inaccurate. The shading from each inlaid panel are closely matched. Very pretty, delicate and classic. It may be Native American made but is unmarked. The pendent hangs from an 18" sterling silver chain which is marked .925. Legend has it that the Native American Indians danced and rejoiced when the rains came. Their tears of joy mixed with the rain and seeped into Mother Earth to become SkyStone Turquoise. Turquoise: stone of sky, stone of water, stone of blessings, good fortune, protection, good health and long life. Turquoise has been crafted into adornments for 7,500 years. It is the birthstone of December and signifies success. buyerbutter Baubles specializes in vintage quality pieces.
