Vintage US Navy Deck Jacket USN - Size 50 - Navy Department Contract NXss 22371:

Overall very good condition. The collar is showing some liner thinning (alpaca hair?). The lining throughout the remainder of the jacket is very good to excellent. There are places that have some staining and discoloration on the exterior of the jacket. There are some \'white lines\' on the exterior of the jacket which could indicate it spent it\'s life near a saltwater Environment (likely). Zipper is smooth. Slight fraying of the button tab closure on the neck of the coat. The interior sleeve liner cuffs have some small holes at the wrist which seems pretty common for this type of jacket. The research I\'ve done on the coat indicates that it was possibly manufactured in 1942 or 1943 due to the contract number, although I am no expert in militaria and therefore be totally wrong.
