Vintage Victorian Style Stained & Beveled Glass Hand Leaded Transom Window For SaleVintage Victorian Style Stained and Beveled Glass Combination Hand Leaded Transom Window. This sale is for ahand leaded stained and beveled glass Victorian style transom window that I made in the late 80's or early 90's for a client. I had the original late 1800's transom but it was much too large for him to use. This is an exact copy of the original the only differences being that the original had two rows of flowers, which made it roughly twice as long, and similar but slightly different bevel clusters in the corners. My client opted to not have the exact clusters custom hand ground and went with this design instead, which I think worked out fine. The window is 13-1/2" x 30-3/8" and could be hung either way. I made it using antique amber ripple in the outer border and corners. The blue for the flowers and the squares in the border corners is antique as well. Each flower has a light amethyst Czechoslovakian jewel in the center. The inner tracing is a nice ruby red water glass and the green for the leaves I can't say is antique but it was around the shop for as long as I can remember. The background is a traditional clear chip glass. This is a very good quality hand leaded, (not cheap Chinese copper foiled junk like you see so much of on ) stained glass window made right here in the USA. The client that I made this window for is downsizing and won't be able to use it so I bought it back from him. Personally I always liked this window for some reason, and have kicked myself many times for selling the original. Oh well, I guess I must have needed the money at the time. Crating and shipping via Fedex will be $60.00. The crate it ships in is solid wood and all Styrofoam lined. I haven't had any damage in shipping since I started using this type of crate. The crating materials for this window will cost me $15.00 with no time included. The other $45.00 is based on a quote I got from Fedex for this window crated which will be 19" x 36" x 3" and weigh aprox 26 lbs shipping to California. If you live closer send me your zip code and I'll get you an accurate shipping quote for your location. The crating charge will still be $15.00. This window is in excellent condition. All I did to it once I got it back was clean it and regrout it. This window should be good to go for at least another 75 years. If it looks a little cloudy it's from the piece of glass that it's leaning against. I will put copper hangers on it for no extra charge if you win this sale and want them.
