Vintage Virginia Metalcrafters Brass Squirrel Kettle Stand (or Trivet) #1104 For Sale

This sale is for a vintage hard-to-find brass stand manufactured by Virginia Metalcrafters.

The stand has an intricately decorated top that includes a squirrel standing on its rear legs eating a nut or other food. The stand measures 8 1/2 inches in height, and the top measures 7 7/8 inches in diameter.

I’ve seen this stand referred to as a “kettle stand,” “a fireside trivet,” and a “plant stand”.

The stand also can be disassembled into three pieces (with I will do for shipment, with each piece well wrapped).

This piece is in good condition. It retains its highly lacquered finish; however, the top does exhibit some minor scratches to the surface as a result of items being displayed on top of it over the years. I took a close up of the legs to show worst example of the scuffs to the finish. The underside of the underside of one of the legs has the mold number 1104 and the Virginia Metalcrafters logo.
