This is a cool vintage WWII Tool Box. It\'s made of galvanized steel, so there\'s no rust, just some grease. It measures 22\" wide x 7\" high x 8\" deep, and is heavy at almost 16 lbs. The front is embossed \"U.S. Security Acct Reg Co\" anddated \"1942\". The back bears an official stencil and a more recent inspection date of 1950. It hasa cool latch & clasp on a chain.A great piece for display or use.

\"Your 1942 tool box is a specific tool box that was issued inWW2with the M37 Field Range. The tool box had specific tools and parts that went to the field range. U.S. military cooks used the range (stove) during the War and all the way up into theVietnamWar.

Your box was reinspected in 1950, so it was probably definitely used during theKoreanwar.\"
