Vintage IKK Japan 25X spotting scope / telescope with a leather case and carrying strap. The outer chamber seems to be made of painted brass, the telescoping sections are white metal or coated metal. Markings include the \"I K K\" on the scope body and 25X \"Made in Japan\" on the eyepiece. The brass eyepiece shutter cover works properly. 2 3/8\" x 9 3/8\" when closed, approx. 26 1/2\" when extended. This seems to be made with high quality materials. The image is clear with a few tiny black spots that may be specks of dust. There doesn\'t seem to be any cloudiness on the lenses.
Good condition with outer paint finish loss and scratches on the body, some scratches on the telescoping sections and wear to the leather case and strap, especially on the section that must be positioned to allow the top to separate from the bottom of the case. Scope weighs 1 lb, 11 oz.
Original item in used, vintage condition. I\'m sure scopes and optical equipment have improved in the last 70 years or so, so it may not be the best choice for someone needing a high quality working scope. Sold more as an historical item - \"as found\" and \"as is\".
