This is a very small fountain pen and as the ring on the top of the upper section indicates, it was meant to be worn on a chain around the neck like a piece of jewelry. The outer case is gold colored with a great vintage patina, and has a very attractive design from top to bottom, it certainly qualifies to be used as a piece of jewelry. The nib is marked 14 kt gold and appears to be in good condition. The body does not have any damage or dents, just some tarnished coloring mostly on the lid. We did not attempt to introduce any ink into the pen and it hasn\'t been used in awhile so we cannot assert that it is in working condition as is, but all appearances are that it has not suffered any damage over the years.
