This is a Waltham Model 57 Appleton Tracy Civil War Era pocket watch movement in a coin silver open face case. Serial# 107641. 15 jewels. Complete and running, but has not been serviced. Untouched, as found. According to the handwritten Waltham factory serial number ledger, this movement was completed in March 1864. It is one of a series of 10 movements listed (from Serial# 107641 - 107650) described as Size: 18, Grade: AT (Appleton Tracy), FP (Full Plate), Jeweling: 4 Pairs (15 jewels), Balance: gold.
