Vintage Washboard, wood and glass, Lingerie No. 4D, Chicago/Bogalusa, WWII :
$45.00

This is a vintage or antique washboard. It has a wooden frame with a ridged glass insert. The top of the frame has a crack in the wood but it is still attached (see picture with stamped name). No chips or cracks in the glass. Made by Western Washboard Sales out of Chicago and Bogalusa evidently. The Number on it is 4D.
The top board edge has a name stamp. I remember people used to mark their items in WWII and the stamped letters look exactly like the letters I saw on my dad\'s things. It looks like is says \"SIDNEY MYERSINC\" on the top line -- there may be a letter after the \"C\" but I am unable to determine that. The second line says \"HOUSTON TEX.\"
I have not tried to clean it up or repair it in any way as from what I understand from antique collectors, it is wanted in its present condition.
