Vintage Whale Oil Lamp ~ Converted to Electric ~ Out Of Nantucket Estate :

This is a whale oil lamp which has been electrified.It is from myfamily\'sNantucket estate before it was sold.I do not know its exact age but it was known to be in the house for at least 70 years, and I think it might be older than that.The lamp is clear pressed glass. The glass portion of the lamp is approximately 9\" tall and measures approximately 3 1/2\" across the base.There is a imperfection line in the base of the glass that looks like a crack but it is not.It has wear that I would expect to happen considering the age but no cracks or broken edges.
