Fantastic 1920s Whiting & Davis Gold Metal Mesh Purse with chain handle!
The Whiting & Davis logo stamp on the frame is from the 1920s and there is also a made in USA Stamp on the frame.
In addition to the stamps, there is a Whiting and Davis label in the bag.
The gold metal exterior of this almost 100 year old bag is in excellent condition. There are approx 7 tiny links not connected to the frame but they are spread across three different places.
The interior lining is a lovely gold color. The lining itself is in great shape with no stains or tears but it is detaching fromthe frame on one side. This could easily berepaired (pls see photo).
The clasp is in a great deco style and shows wear appropriate for its age.
The body of the bag measures 5\" wide x 4.5\" tall with a 3.5\" drop on the chain for a total height of 8.5\".
