You are offerding ontwo door locks. Both of these items were removed from a late-1920’s erabuilding in Asheville, NC. The exact age of the locks is unknown. Each is missing a portion of its assembly. Bothitems are being offered FOR PARTS.

CONDITION:

The Yale Lock appears to be made of castmetal and brass, with brass plating/brass-colored finish. There are numeroussmall pits in the finish, especially on the twist knob and key mechanism. Theback plates are tarnished, but very little rust.

The twist knob isembossed with the YALE brand name. Turning this knob causes the latch to recess/emergefrom the body of the lock as expected. Moving the thumb button arrests/releasesthe latch, as expected. Three 1½” brass screws, which appear to be original,accompany the lock body. There is nocatch.

The key mechanism appearsto have all its parts except there is nokey. The round trim piece that fits behind the lock face has a dent at theouter perimeter. Trim and lock face are tarnished and scratched. The lock body,latching mechanism, and key mechanism would all benefit from cleaning andlubrication.

Dimensions of thelock body are: 4¼” x 2 5/8” x 1¾”. The keymechanism with face plate is 1¾” dia x 1” deep. The scored metal rod thatconnects the key mechanism to the lock body extends 1¼” behind the keymechanism.

The Stanley Slide-Lock Deadbolt is made ofcast metal with a brass applied finish. There are nicks and scratches in thefinish, but very little rust. Embossed on the lock is “Stanley / Made in USA”. Four ¾” brass screws, believed to beoriginal, accompany the deadbolt. There is nocatch. Dimensions of the lock body are:4 1/8” (closed); 4 ¾” (bolt extended)
