Vintage Zulu South Africa Traditional Tribal Tray Flat Coil Hand-Woven Basket #5 Description: Estate find - The owners traveled extensively in South Africa as missionaries during the late 60’s and early 70’s. I purchased many of their baskets at an estate sale in Harrisburg, PA. One still had the tag on it that explains the dying process as well as the symbolism of the various shapes woven into the baskets so I showed photos of that informational tag in each of my listings. These baskets are authentic and vintage - not new factory reproductions. This one measures approximately: Measurements: Approximately 10” diameter and is flat like a tray or a trivet.Condition: VERY GOOD vintage condition - please see photos. Most of the baskets I am listing have been gently used over the years by the owners who loved them. I photographed the beginning/center and ending edge of each basket as well as any damage or soiling I noticed. I am an honest selling with excellent response and want to keep it that way so I disclosed any issues I see.ABSOLUTELY no funky odors on your item(s) or any of our packaging materials. We buy at estate sales but if it stinks, it gets trashed.
