Vintage Antique Old Pink Silk Plush German Teddy Bear C.1930s, 18" For Sale
Absolutely adorable vintage pink silk plush teddy bear of German origin, dating from c. 1930s,
feels to be hard stuffed with wood-wool throughout the body and head,
fully jointed,
has got original dark amber and black glass eyes,
short plush insert muzzle,
original black horizontally stitched nose,
inverted Y shape mouth stitching,
original cotton pads in fair condition with wear and some staining,
feet reinforced with heavy cardboard, pads have got split on the edge of inserts, but nothing too bad - stuffing is not coming out,
original three claws stitching,
inoperative cardboard growler in his back.
Approx. 18" tall.
Condition - teddy bear is in good original vintage condition with some general wear, thinning and yellowing to plush. Head joint a little bit loose.
Please note, because teddy bear is made of very soft silk plush, it would need a bit of brushing after being in the box for his transfer to you. Pictures of teddy bear were taken just after brushing. And at first he might look a bit different, but after brushing, teddy comes back to his original state.
