Okay, this sale is for two prints I picked up this Summer in Oaxaca, Mexico; perfect for the revolutionary or anarchist in your life! They are a heavy stock of paper, non-glossy: the first has a three color image printed on it consisting of the Virgen appropriately attired for a police action and Spanish words saying Virgin of the Barricades; the second consists ofa two tone image printed on it with a molotov cocktail mid-pitch over Spanish words saying Made in the Rebellious Lands of Oaxaca. Background: in 2006 there was a bit of an uprising in Oaxaca with barricades and such against the authorities.
The Virgin print is 19\" x 12.75\" overall and has no creasing on the image, though there is minor edge wear which is minimal considering I shipped this from Mexico. The image size is 15.5\" x 10.25\".
On the second molotov cocktail print, from the back view you can see a pattern of lines going across the work, they really aren\'t visible from the front with the exception of one spot shown in the close up. A light crease extends from the \"s\" to the edge of the page, so nothing major. Above that crease by a few inches is another light crease that does not go into the printed area. I shipped these flat and then removed them from their original plastic and backing, so I\'m thinking it was an original printing or packaging issue, so it is what it is.The dimensions of this are 19\" x 13\" overall. The image size is 14.25\" x 10.25\".
I will ship this flat in a big padded envelop and sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard. Shipping will be by USPS standard mail, I considered all options due to the ungainly type of packaging, and this will be the most economical. If you have any concerns or suggestions, contact me.
