I will have to ship this unit in 4 separate boxes. The basic saw will be in one box, the hydraulic pump in another box, the hydraulic reservoir in another box and the pair of hydraulic hoses in another box unless you want me to throw them away and not ship them to you. Those hoses are in poor condition and will have to be replaced anyway.

I found this at a friend\'s place here in Montana this summer. He felt it needed a new home so here it is for youto enjoy. This is a Von Ruden two man hydraulically driven chainsaw that runs off of a 540 RPM tractor PTO (power take off) shaft.It is small for a two man saw. The bar is under 30\" in total length, with the cutting length less than that. The saw without the large hydraulic hoses weighs 32 lbs. The helper handle appears to be an original rather than any type of replacement like some of these scarce saws have. This unit is not in running condition and will need some work before it will be operable. The chain seems to be rusted a bit so the hydraulic drive motor will not turn. The tractor driven hydraulic pump does not seem to want to turn either. I suspect both the motor and the pump will need to be taken apart, cleaned and put backtogether.
The original hydraulic tank still has remnants of the original decal that says \"Hydra-Flex\" on it. Both of the hoses are in poor condition and should be replaced. I am now 65 years of age and have been around machinery all of my life. I have never a saw like this before but then I was raised in wheat country rather than a forest. This may be a rare opportunity to acquire a complete unit like this so you might do well to give this some very serious consideration. Imagine how much fun it would be to demonstrate this saw at anantique tractor show.
