Outstanding vintage 1890\'s architectural artifact knee brace / corbel salvaged from a tear down of a 1890\'s mansion located in the Hyde Park neighborhood around the University of Chicago. Fantastic curved & scrolled design with two star designs on each side. Awesome original shabby crackled black & white paint!

I have two examples of this style listed. Outstanding original condition with a few pieces of edging wood missing along the long dimension. Each one is crackled black & white paint with varying amounts of paint remaining and patina coloration. They have been cleaned with fine steel wool and a clear satin wood spray was applied to maintain the crackled original paint. This example measures 35.5 x 27 x 4.5 inches. Weight 32 pounds.

Great for hanging in upper corners of room openings, as wall decor or hanging from your porch/patio!!
