Vtg 1910 - 1920's Art Nouveau Deco Topaz Smoky Quartz Glass Pendant Necklace This sale is for a uniquely designed and striking, Art Nouveau glass necklace, that is from the 1910's - 20's.This piece is brass/goldtone that is slightly heavier set measuring 16 1/4" long with the pendant dropping another 3 1/4" below that and is 3/4" wide at its widest point. The necklace closes securely with a toggle clasp that appears to be original to the piece. The necklace has a detailed scroll setting that is accented with uniquely colored glass cabochons that are like smoky quartz except they are slightly pinkish. The scroll pendants and glass cabochons extend towards the top of the chain so the piece is striking when worn. The glass cabochons along the chain are 8mm in diameter, they are open at the back and are faceted on both sides, so the glass has a lot of color and refraction. There is one stone at the top of the pendant that is a dark blue - I'm not sure if this stone is original to the piece or is a replacement. There are no chips to the glass, there is a little bit of scratching and scuffing, but it is a modest amount that is noticeable only upon close inspection. The setting has darkened a little with age but the piece has a nice and golden patina that shows off the detail in the setting. Overall this is a uniquely designed and striking, Art Nouveau glass necklace, that is from the 1910's - 20's that is in Excellent condition.
