He was from Milwaukee, educated as an electrical engineer in Illinois, moved to Minneapolis to work for Control Data, then studied journalism. He admired trolleys, had books on the Milwaukee interurban, and owned the Sunny Andy trolley I have for sale. Also had acanvasposter-print promoting automatic trolley doors (to prevent hangers-on), an item to be listed soon.
