A stunning example of Bavarian Precision. This Art Deco Trio has gold lining every 3mm that create a honeycomb or grid and radiate in an arcing star shape from each piece. Dark hunter green stars of 6, 8 and 10 points are perfectly centered on each piece and not one scratch can be seen in the dark green. The dark of the green and the arc of the gold pin striping work together to create the optical illusion of great depth, pulling your eyes into each piece.

As if the design wasn’t enough the shape of the porcelain only adds in the optical illusion. The 2” tall cup has a very wide 4” lip that tapers to only 1” and then out again to a 1 ¾” foot. Each plate (one 5 ½”and the other 7” across) is softly sloped to aid to the architectural nature of the cup and the design. A definite beauty and maybe even a centerpiece in a cabinet or curio collection for sure.

The tea cup, saucer and side plate are in NEAR MINT CONDITION with no chips, cracks, crazing or missing pieces. 99% of the gold detailing still shines like the day it was applied. The foot of the cup is the 1% because it had what looks like a film on it. All pieces ping like Bavarian bells indicating no unseen damage or manufactures defect.
