Up for sale is a vintage 1973 \"Simon Sez\"by Horsman Ventriloquist Doll/Dummy.
The head is removable from body (so other heads can bepurchased for usage & play- if desired). Squeeze style lever on the end ofthe \"stick\" style lever that allows you to move Simon’s head and mouth.
This is the 30” doll. Very RARE!
This figure looks verysimilar to Willie Talk. However, Simon Sez is much larger and has the semi-protype set-up.
Simon Sez looks like abigger Willie Talk head mounted on aplastic stick set-up.
Sometimesyou will see a Simon Sez/Willie Talkfigure pictured but the name may notbe correct and you are wondering if it is Willie Talk or Simon Sez in thepicture. Obviously if the head is shown separate of the body and the headis on a stick as described above, it is Simon Sez. But if both heads areattached to the body, the two models are very similar.
The way to tellthe difference is to look at the hair line on the ears. Willie Talk hashis whole ear showing. Simon Sez has the top part of the ear covered withhair (the hair is molded on the ear, combed back).
The doll is in very goodvintage condition. It works perfectly. The clothes show signs of wear aftermany years of being loved. They have pills and the pants need new elastic.
There are also areas on theback of the head that are worn (see all photos).
