Vtg 30s 40s Horsehide Aviator Leather Jacket D-pocket Button Cuffs Half-belt For SaleUp for sale is a vintage 19302 or 1940s era leather jacket in an aviator style. The leather may be horsehide, as many jackets from this era were, but there is no label and I cannot confirm for sure. This jacket also has a D-Pocket that is formed from stitching around the slash zipper pocket and the left front handwarmer pocket. All of the pockets are in good shape, as are the original zippers. The lining appears to be a replacement, but I believe it may have been a period replacement as it looks like it has been worn in for years and has signs of use.The cuffs use a button closure with two buttons per cuff, there are side pulls to adjust the sizing of the jacket, and the collar has extensive wear. The leather has chipped a bit at the collar, but it is still solid and very wearable. The jacket on the whole is in fantastic condition, and the patina is beautiful (especially the wear areas on the sleeves).I am a size 36-38 depending on the jacket, and this jacket is a bit big on me.MeasurementsChest: 21 5/8" from pit to pit
Shoulder: 17 1/2"
Neck to bottom: 21 1/2" measured from the front, and 22 1/2" measured from the bottom
Sleeve: 23 3/8" from shoulder seam to bottom of sleeveThe jacket also has a Talon zip and two chain link zippers for the D-pocket and the breast pocket, and it has a half-belt style back. Please ask any questions you may have, and feel free to make an offer.
