Vtg 50's Victorian Karu Courting Couple Bookchain Necklace Bracelet Earrings Set
This sale is for a detailed and striking, Victorian revival courting couple set, that was made by Karu Fifth Ave. from the 1950's - 60's.This set is marked on the back of the necklace and the bracelet but not the earrings "Karu Fifth Ave". The set is brass and plastic but it has a nice weight and feel. The necklace measures 16" long, the pendant is 1 3/4" wide at its widest point, and it closes securely with its original fold over clasp. The bracelet measures 7" long, is 1 1/4" wide at its widest point, and closes securely with its original broad push clasp. The earrings are screw backings that work securely and measure 1 1/4" x 1" wide at their widest points. The plastic cabochons are all domed in shape and have "courting couples". There is some wear to the printing on the necklace so the design on some of them (particularly the central pendant) is not clear. The courting couples across the set are 75-85% intact. The brass setting has some wear and scratching but it is a modest amount and the whole set has a nice patina. Overall this is a detailed and striking, Victorian revival courting couple set, that was made by Karu Fifth Ave. from the 1950's - 60's that is in very good condition.
