up for offers is this gorgeous vintage Aladdin Oil lamp, in excellent condition. there are no chips, cracks or repairs. the chimney is original, as it has the Aladdin marking on it. there is a small thin air bubble in the glass of the chimney towards the top, but this is a manufacturing flaw, which i think adds to the beauty instead of detracts from it. it let\'s you know it\'s authentic antique. the air bubble is very narrow, and approx 1/2\" long. i tried to take a picture, but the camera just couldn\'t capture it. the lamp breaks down into portable pieces. i was told this was a \"portable\" one. i\'m not an aladdin officianado, so i don\'t know if this is true. either way, the bottom base unscrews from the oil reservoir portion, via a metal piece that is in between, which can be fully detached. there is a little amber residue inside the oil chamber. don\'t know if this is a stain or not, but it is certainly does not distract from the lamp. height from base to top of ruffle on shade is approx 18\" the diameter of the bottom of the shade is approx 9 3/4\". the wick knob has marking \"23 Aladdin\". alladin is also printed on the side of the metal. the only thing that possibly may be an issue is the wick knob only twists about 1/4\". i didn\'t want to force it & risk breaking, so i didn\'t. letting you know. otherwise, there is nothing wrong with this beauty. the color in the photos is accurate. it is a rich amber. i believe the style is \'\'Corinthian\". i will ship this extremely carefully so it makes it\'s journey to the new owner in the same condition it is in now. if the shipping cost comes out lower than what\'s paid (i added a couple pounds for cautionary packing measures), i will reimburse buyer for the difference. feel free to ask questions, i\'ll do my best to answer as accurately as possible. thanks for looking & happy offerding!
