Vtg Edwardian Sterling Baroque Fw Pearl Marcasite Lavalier Necklace European For Sale
For your consideration is this stunning VINTAGE EDWARDIAN - ART DECO STERLING PEARL & MARCASITE LAVALIER NECKLACE. Necklace has 4 or5 tiny hallmarks, but they are so small, I can't begin to figure them out. The fresh water pearls are baroque shaped and fairly large for that sort of thing (this quality is no longer available). I believe this is a transitional piece, which dates sometime between late Edwardian and early Art Deco eras.
Condition is excellent, with no missing marcasites or pearls. The clasp is a secure push-in and there is also a safety chain. Wearable length is about 18 1/2" - lavalier drop hangs about 1 5/8". Thanks for looking - always happy to answer questions or provide more photos.
