WOW - RARE - Large Size Gorgeous NAPCOWARE 10 1/2" LADY Headvase C6987
Lovely Hard to Find, marvelous big beautiful vintage Lady Head Vase NAPCO Japan, C6987 that is Ten Inches+ high. She looks like a Hollywood movie screen or stage star of the 1940's, 50'sor 60's. ( like Mitzi Gaynor or Debbie Reynolds ) Retro Bouffant brown hair in an up-do with a side-flip. Red lipstick. Closed eyes, arched eyebrows. Big black eyelashes, rouged cheeks, wearing a stylish v-neck high fashion dress with a jewelry flower pin and wearing her original pearl necklace and dangle earrings set. [ Details: The side of her neck is NOT gray, that is just a shadow from the lamp light by her. Thewhite on the back of her neck is from the Light Reflection,Her neckis all Flesh Toned. Her hair looks reserve FROSTED, the dark brown parts are shiny and the light brown parts are matte finish, I have had her for sometime and after doing some research I discovered that this is her original paint and the way that she was made. Most of these models are matte finish, however this is the more rare alternating shiny highlights and matte finish.Anearly identical to this one in coloring with dark highlighted paint sold on in 2007 sans earrings, six years ago, that's a long time,I foundher in a internet search. There is one like this, however not quite as distinguished on an antique site for salefor $525 with only slight shine streaks. IMHO mine is prettier and moredramatic in coloring. Here is your opportunity to own a truly rare Head Vase with all of her jewelry. ]As you know the extra large sizes with their pearl jewelry intact like this are HTF, Hard to Find. She is in overall excellent condition, she does have pretty overall and all over glaze crazing on her skin areas thatrepresents her age and shows vintage character. There aresome original Japanese factory flaws on her face that are only thin glaze areas, you can see close to her nose. One eyelash is not square on an edge. On the back of her neck and on the bottom the crazing is more obvious and darker, you are going to show her forward so this doesn't matter, just being thorough in my description. She displays beautifully. This pretty vintage lady planter has ink stamp markings that read: C6987 NAPCOWARE
