OFFERED TODAY is a fun older vintage whimsical figural/realistic/novelty/goofy painted Bakelite Kachina totem shaped button with metal loop shank. Butterscotch-colored button measures approximately 1 & 1/4"H x 5/8"W, & has red, black, dark blue & white handpainting. On back, you can see where the 2 narrow pieces in the head were joined to the solid body. It was among a lot of old buttons I just purchased at an estate (along with some other painted figural buttons & buckles, see my OTHER listings. Possibly Martha Sleeper?) This button tested positive as Bakelite when I rubbed the unpainted back with a wee dab of Simichrome on a Q-Tip. As shown, it\'s in very good vintage condition overall, with a little typical minor paint wear.
