I got this beautiful Road Runner from a friend who I was helping clean out her father\'s estate. They had many beautiful collectibles, and they thought this item was valuable. I don\'t know anything about it, other than it has a piece of paper taped on the bottom that says \"Road-Runner. No. 58. Made in Spain. 283\"
I personally don\'t think this was made in Spain. The bird is beautifully carved and painted. Not signed. It has heavy wire legs that go into the knot of wood it stands on. I believe someone who collects this artist, will know what this is. Please send me a message if you know. Thank you.
It measures approximately 7 1/2 inches tall from top of the birds head to the bottom of the knot of wood x 8 1/4 inches from beak to tail.I\'m not sure why it has two small cuts across the top of the head, but it appears to be just a part of the carving, and nothing was ever attached to it. I was wondering a first, but this appears to just be part of the carving.
