Octagonal in form with a pebbled texture front and back, with blank cartouche on one side. Inside we find two compartments, each with its own doorway plus the sovereign (coin) holder built into one lid, which has space for coins that are nickel size or smaller.

Maker mark stamped for James E. Blake co out of Attleboro Massachusetts that created fine objects de vertu from the late 1800\'s-1930\'s

Compact/sovereign holder measures 1.5\" across, 3/4\" thick, with a total length of 5.25\" including ring and chain, and weighs 47 grams of Sterling silver.
