Vtg Victorian Revival Turquoise Carnelian Lapis Sugarloaf Art Glass Bracelet
This sale is for a bold and colorful, Victorian influenced art glass bracelet and earrings set, that is from the 1950's - 60's.This piece is goldtone and is not signed but is substantial and well made at 157 grams. The bracelet measures 7 1/8" long, is 1 1/4" wide, and is 5/8" thick at its thickest point. The bracelet closes securely with its original hidden push clasp and safety chain that does not come undone. The earrings are 1 1/8" in diameter at its widest points and are clipbacks that work smoothly and securely. This set is unique for its beautiful and colorful design as well as the size and weight of it. The bracelet has thick and striking domed glass cabochons that are made to simulate Carnelian, Jade, Turquoise, Lapis, Rose Quartz, and Chrysoprase. The glass cabs are thick and domed in shape measuring 3/4 in diameter and have a lot of detail and marbling making striking imitations of natural stones. There are no chips to the glass and just a slight amount of surface scratching at the very top of the glass. The glass cabs are framed by a detailed leaf design that is inset with contrasting colored glass cabochons. All of the glass cabs, big and little, look original to the piece and there are no missing cabs. There is one small pink cab in one of the earrings that has chipping which is noticeable only upon close inspection. There is one small green glass cab that has a small chip at the side which is also noticeable only on inspection from that angle. There are no other chips to the glass and the surfaces are smooth and gleaming. The goldtone setting is bright without any darkening or discoloration and no signs of solder or repair - just a little bit of wear to the goldtone on the inside of the bracelet showing the silvertone underneath. Overall this is a bold and colorful, Victorian influenced art glass bracelet and earrings set, that is from the 1950's - 60's and is in Excellent condition.
