Beautifulvintage *Vogt marked hand engravedcurb bit. This would have been a scarcecheek style forVogt to produce back then and is not shown in the40 year oldcatalog that Ihave, which indicates to methat itwould have been a custom ordered bit around that time.

The attention to detail on this bit is stunning; it features2 1/4" scalloped edge conchos, with highly ornate -hand engraved and stylized sterling silver cheeks, slobber bar and rein buttons. It has a5"sweet iron mouthpiece and copper inlaid bars; thecheeks are approx. 8" long and the headstall rings ever so slightly flaired.The blackpatina is dark in spots as one would expect whichhelps denote quality,and what is there definatelyshowcasesthe beautiful engraving that the silversmiths put so much effort into.It is invery good,lightly used condition; I do wish to point out that theconcho on the near side(left) shank has atinyimpression in it. Itis incredibly hard to see in the photos andis more easily felt by running a finger over it; and for that reason I wanted to be sure tonote it.

This is a stunningbitwhich can go right to the arena or grace your collection-it will definately turn heads.
