It is because this jacket made from true war horse leather with hand tanned dyied process. One of the best repros A-2 in the world. Specs like original 1942 Rough Wear 27752 such as United Carr snap buttons, Ball stud type collar snap down button, stand collar, Talon main zipper, Cotton lining and worsted wool cuffs and waistband. Brand History: THE REAL McCOY'S is a Japanese fashion brand, renowned for its commitment to the manufacturing of American-style casual wear that included jeans, work clothes and motorcycle wear. Its business began with the reproduction of fine Flight Jackets. It has been said that the creation of Eastman A-2 with the cooperation of Hiroshi Okamoto, Toru Sakurai, Gary Eastman et all around the year 1986 led to the launching of THE REAL McCOY'S. By 1987, Hiroshi Okamoto had manufactured the limited edition of 300 A-2 Flight Jackets for the japanese fashion magazine "Popeye". When they were placed on the market, they were sold out as soon as reservations started to come in from clients. Given such enthusiastic response, THE REAL McCOY'S JAPAN was established in 1988. It's business began with the sale of A-2 Jackets, the reproduction of Type 1 Jackets that were modeled after the authentic Jackets of Perry Sportswear. THE REAL McCOY'S JAPAN was incorporation in 1990 and firmly took its stand as the manufacturer of the reproduction of Flight Jackets. It went on to expand its offerings in such items as jeans and work clothes, etc. By 1993, it had started to sell the reproductions of the jeans of the WWII models and by 1996, had attracted world-wide attention with the "mania" phenomenon it created with the reproduction of Lee's 101 model under an original name. Thus in 1997, "JOE McCOY", was born as a brand which could be considered the comprehensive collection of the Jeans Line of THE REAL McCOY'S. THE REAL McCOY'S had won an enthusiastic and loyal clientele by its extraordinary planning and by its products of unprecedented quality. Since around 1996, it has been expanding the number of customers with the publication of such magazines as "REAL McCOY", a catalog-type magazine and “THE REAL TIMES", the newsletter for the members of the Japan direct marketing association. However, in June, 2001 when its activities had reached its peak, it petitioned the Civil Rehabilitation Law and declared its bankruptcy. The following year, Nylon Co., a major distributor revived the THE REAL McCOY'S brand by succeeding to the business as the THE REAL McCOY'S INTERNATIONAL and has continued as such until today.
