Great VINTAGE, ORIGINAL TRADER VIC'S MENU from their HONOLULU, HAWAII location circa 1950's/1960's. FRAMED in a wonderful BAMBOO frame but was easily removed for photographs.

MENU is approx. 9" x 12" and features cover art by Donn Allison. Image of Trader Vic's restaurant and the giant ship anchor that was evidently at the original location on Ward Avenue in Waikiki before moving to the International Market Place in 1967 (island of Oahu)

INTERIOR of menu has multiple pages and features PUPUS, SOUP & BROTHS, SALADS, PAKE (CHINESE DISHES) FROM OUR CHINESE OVEN, CHARCOAL BROILER SELECTION, TRADER VIC'S SPECIALS, CURRY SAHIB? FROM THE SEA, and AT THE END. The very back page has WINE LIST. No dates but prices help date it: Broiled Lobster $3.50, Filet Mignon $4.74, and on the Wine List, the most expensive bottle of wine was $4.50 and the priciest French Champagne was $12.50.

Inside last page (shown in my photos) is mention that due to popularity of the menus, they were available for sale in the curio shop(you have to wonder if this one was purchased or "stolen" though because it has alot of discoloration and age-related staining along with what looks like a teriyaki stain on the back!)

FRAME is bamboo and matches the menu wonderfully; I would suggest replacing the existing glass with "glare free" type though. (maybe the glare is just more noticeable outside in the sunlight when I took these pictures?)

CONDITION:There is age-related discoloration and yellowing as well as staining, a brown stain (thin) along the top front edge, stains on back especially a teriyaki stain, but interior is actually clean and nice. Front looks great when framed and edge wear and corner wear isn't noticeable in the frame.
