W & G Sissons Salesman's Silver Photo Catalog Circa 1900 For Sale
This is a rare early salesman's catalog from W.& G Sissons Silver Company. The cover reads, "W.& G. S. Established 1784 Designs that Sell". The cover is a heavy paper and is bound by a green twine. The pictures of the silver are black and white glossy photographs on photographic paper. The photos are bound with cloth tape. Each picture is numbered with inventory number; this is likely the ordering number used when ordering items from this catalog.
There are 27 numbered pages of photos, covering a total of 138 unique orderable silver items. The array of silver pieces is amazing and includes photographs of:
silver serving sets with tran coffee and teapots, sugar and creamer
individual coffee pots and tea pots
condiment trays and holders
serving dishes with covers
cruets, syrup pitchers, castor sets
This is a wonderful resource book. The catalog measures 7" x 8". The condition is very good. The photos are in excellent condition. The cover has some wear on the edges. We do not know when this was made, but from the style and types of pieces in this catalog, we think itdates to thelate 1800's or early 1900s. We have never seen another like it.

To Our International Customers:
We ship via the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) and usually offer two shipping options:
1. First Class Mail International - shipping at less cost, but, according to the USPS, delivery time “varies” and can sometimes take several weeks. Also, there is no package tracking and shipping insurance is not available.
2. Priority Mail International - shipping cost is more, but delivery is usually within ten days of shipment. Provides partial insurance coverage and tracking of the shipment through the U.S. Postal system. For more expensive items, we usually require shipping via Priority Mail International and may add the cost of full shipping insurance to the cost of shipping.
Customs: The customs form we fill out for your shipment is marked “merchandise”, with the actual price you paid for the item as the value. We always include a packing slip with your purchase that identifies the item and the actual amount you paid for your purchase. Note: Postal regulations do not allow us to mark your purchase as “gift”. Customs fees are not included in the shipping cost and are the buyer’s responsibility.
