Waterbury Antique Mantel Solid Bronze Statue Clock 100% All Original Runs Great :
Ladies and gentlemen, now this is a clock! This is a 100% ALL ORIGINAL OUTSTANDING example of a RARE Waterbury Mantle FANCY SOLID BRONZE MANTEL/PARLOR Clock in SUPERIOR condition. This is a clock that only comes around once in a great while. Everything is original SOLID BRONZE with a natural patina that only comes with 100+ years. It is a very classy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. It was made in very limited numbers in circa 1885. It has a signed "Waterbury Clock Co" 8 day time and strike movement which chimes on the half-hour and counts the hours on the hour on a bell, with a distinctive sound. The case is also extremely beautiful! The case looks much better than the pictures show. The case is made of solid bronze with all the original parts. We really love a clock that is in this great original condition! The ORIGINAL dial is crisp, easy to read condition. The original pendulum is in great condition has a place to adjust the clock for slow and fast. There is also a place on the dial to adjust for slow and fast. This way you don't have to take the clock down from its shelf to make adjustments. The original heavy bevel front glass is perfect! I doubt if the clock has been worked on much as the screws and screw holes for the movement, dial, etc. are original and are tight. The clock comes with a new double ended key to wind the clock and also to adjust the clock for slow and fast. The metal around the dial is original (no extra screw holes). The original front door has its original thick bevel glass! Has the original back and is in great condition! The signed movement is nice and clean and a very strong runner. Runs great with a really wide pendulum swing and a happy ticking sound. The movement runs very well and keeps good time. This is truly a wonderful clock! This clock measures 13 inches high, 11 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working after well over 100 years! And the truly amazing thing with proper care they will work easily past the next 200 years, and much more! If you are looking for an antique clock that looks like it was cherished its whole life, and looks just about like it did the day it was bought, and aged to a perfect patina – this is it! Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment. Each one has a unique quality, as well as appreciating in value and beauty with age. You will become attached to your antique clocks and they will become a meaningful and important part of your life adding untold joy each day you own them. They can be handed down from one generation to another as they increase daily in value. Antique clocks serve many purposes other than being useful in telling time, decorative in your home, a valuable asset in your estate and above all a faithful servant and friend which will be true to you to the end of time. This clock will be packed very very carefully by our award winning packing department (my wife assisted by Wild Thing) to insure a safe delivery, and the buyer is to pay $23.50 for shipping and ins. I will gladly answer any emails promptly. I have always hated that "reserve" when I have offer myself so this fine clock has and a very low (gulp) starting offer. I will be glad to help you set up your new clock, or answer questions long after the sale via email.
We are at the NAWCC National clock convention at Dayton OH, in our vintage Airstream (with all the kitties!) This is a great convention! Then we’re planning on visiting Donna’s Sister and brother in law in Conway MO. Then we’re planning on taking a summer vacation camping in Colorado! It looks like we’ll probably not have much internet access during the trip with all the driving, convention activities, and camping in the National Forests. We’ll ship ASAP right after returning. We’ll begin shipping on Monday right after we get back. Altogether, we will be gone from June 29th through August 2nd . Sorry for the inconvenience.
