Headless Horseman & Icabod Crane

"Haunting Horseman & Terrified Teacher"

This is the VERY RARE and RETIRED WDCC sculpture set of "Haunting Horseman - Headless Horseman and Terrified Teacher - Icabod Crane" from the 1949 Walt Disney Classic Animated Feature The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. This sculpture set was available to order only as a members only limited edition release in 2000. This matched numbered set was limited to only 3500 pieces.

The plussing on the Headless Horseman includes a stainless steel sword.

The Headless Horseman is 11 inches high, 7 3/4 inches wide and 9 1/2 inches deep.

He is in mint condition, no chips, scratches or cracks. The bottom of the sculpture has crazing, which you can see in a picture below.

Icabod is 7 inches high, 5 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches deep.

Icabod is in good condition other than his tail, and shows no chips or cracks. His tail was broken off some time ago and repaired. Please see below for more details.

You can see in the pictures above and below where the tail has been repaired. Icabod will look fine in a display, but if you look close you can see where the tail was glued back on. This is something that in not really noticeable when he is on display, but I want to make sure that the winning buyer is fully aware that the tail has been repaired.

You can see in the pictures above and below the matching limited edition number 385/3500. You can also see the crazing which has occured on the bottom of both sculptures, and is quite common in these older WDCC sculptures.

This set comes with two certificates of authenticity, one for the Headless Horseman and one for Icabod Crane. This set comes in the original box which is in excellent shape.

These figurines have never been displayed and come from a non-smoking environment.

The sculpture set would make a perfect addition to your collection!
