This is for a very interestingold Victorian needle case with a lovelyimage on the front of a market town full of Welsh ladies in full traditional dress. The ladies are selling ducks,eggs and vegetablesin a typical covered market square that is titled 'Welsh Market Scene'. The colour image has been reverse painted on glass and is still nice and crisp and vivid. The needle case opens up and is lined in purple silk with a cloth middle and numbered pouches. The back of the case is a mirror. It is in very good condition, there isno wear to the spine and the front is perfect but there is a little crack on the corner of the mirror on the backas shown. It measures 64mm (2.5") by 47mm (1.75") closed.
