WILLIAM DE MORGAN Fab UNICORN BOTTLE VASE c1890

Fabulous original William de Morgan antique bottle vase/flask circa 1890. De Morgan was a close friend & colleague of William Morris & his circle. Unicorn design in red. Unmarked except for the numerals 024 impressed into the body under the glaze.

Measures just under 7 inches high.

Terrific condition, no chips, no cracks & no repairs. However, the glaze does have some crackle crazing in the surface, particularly across the shoulders & especially to the underside. The underside crackle is slightly discoloured but this does not creep up onto the flask sides.
