William Mckinley Signed Appointment Document 1894 As Governor:
WILLIAM McKINLEY SIGNED Appointment Document
William McKinley.(1843–1901)was the 25th President of the United States . He was elected twice,in 1896 and 1900, but served only part of his second term, as he was assassinated in September of 1901. He is remembered for presiding over a major period of expansion in U.S. territories through conquest largely due to The Spanish-American War including the annexation of Cuba, the Philippines, and Wake Island. He also annexed the future U.S. State of Hawaii. He was succeeded by his Vice President, Theodore Roosevelt. He was the first President to ride in an automobile which was in fact the ambulance that took him to the hospital after he was shot.
This document was signed in 1894 while he was Governor of Ohio, it has no holes, tears, the details is easy to read, it has been folded, it will arrived that way boxed for protection. We suggest it is framed. It came to us via an estate sale, we have several Ohio State Documents that will be coming up for sale over the coming weeks.
A Unique Piece of History.
