WILLIAMS SONOMA (Mauviel) ~ Hammered Copper 11 Qt. STOCK POT w/LID ~ France Here we have a wonderful quality hammered 2mm copper early model STOCK POT with a LID, tin lining and thick bronze handles made in Villedieu, France (believed by Mauviel) for Williams Sonoma. It measures approx. 9 1/2" in diameter (add 2 1/4" for each side handle) x 9 1/2" side high (deep) x 11 1/4" in total height with the lid, can hold up to 11 quarts, and is in good maintained (used) condition with no dings or dents on the pot...only interior tin darkening expected from age and use. With close examination, I detected three small/2 tiny spots of tin loss (see close-up photos)...all of which are not horribly offensive, and in the future this Stock Pot would be an excellent candidate for retinning. The lid has a very good fit, but has a very minor and insignificant bend to a small area on the outer flange which can easily be tweaked/straightened out. The quality cast handles are copper riveted, strong and sturdy. On the side by the one handle it is marked, "WILLIAMS SONOMA ~ FRANCE" and Came from a private collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown. This item weighs approx. 8 1/2 lbs., add 3 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material.
