Winchester Mod. 97 Barrel Heat Shield W. Bayo. Lug For Sale
Here we have another of what appears to be a Winchester item. I traded for these Winchester parts years ago. This heat heat shield was part of the group,and will leave it to the buyer to decide what it is. I have another just like this one to be listed that has an OAL of 17 1/8 inches. This particular shield has an OAL [ over all length ] of 15 1/2 inches. It has a "W" stamped into the left side of the cast section, and there are no other marks visable. The fastning screws are allen head, and one of the holes appears a bit elongated. The sheild part is stamped steel, and appears spot welded to the cast section. I don't know enough about Winchester history to know exactly what year this was produced. I welcome any experianced info or comments on this item. Thank you.
