This piece is among several beautiful and unusual tree knots collected from decayed trees that were laying on a mossy-covered slope near a creek, on the slopes of Mt. Rainier.

This tree spirit carving is from a fallen fir tree and measures about 16-inches long by about 2-inches wide across its face and weighs about one pound. The pictures showing my hand provides some scale to this carving.

It has a pre-drilled hole for wall-mounting and is initialled and dated. The back of the carving has been sanded to mount flush against a wall. It has been burned to provide highlights, and has a semi-gloss polyurethane finish. Please contact us if you have any questions, or desire additional information.
