Wmf Rare Art Nouveau Jugendstil Claret Jug Silver Plated Pewter Circa 1900 For Sale

For sale a fine and rare WMF claret jug which retains most of the original silver plating . It stands 32cm high and is clearly stamped to the base with the WMF stamp , the letter B for Brittania metal, I/0 for normal thickness of silver- plating and OX to show that it was oxidised so that the impressed decoration is blackened with a sulphuret of potash and the flat areas are polished to a matt finish with pumice.
